Richard Andrews

Find My Retirement Home was founded by Richard Andrews in 2009.

Richard has spent much of the past decade working in the institutional property sector for companies such as Lend Lease and the GPT Group. While working in a role establishing a $400m retirement living development fund for the superannuation industry, Richard was stunned at the complexity of the sector: “I was amazed that with the amount of retirement living options in the market and the complexity of the purchase agreements, there was no-one out there providing independent analysis and advice for the retirement home purchaser. It’s high time the buyer had some firepower on their side!” This led to the idea for the Find My Retirement Home service and the business was launched soon after.

In addition to helping retirees get the best deal possible on their retirement home purchase, Find My Retirement Home now offers training to professional advisors such as accountants, solicitors and financial planners.  These courses are designed to equip professionals with the information, education and tools necessary to assist their clients.

Richard has also written a book called “Don’t buy your retirement home without me!” which will be released through Wiley Press and available in all good bookstores in Feb 2012.

Richard is a graduate of the Royal Military College, Duntroon, and has a Bachelor of Business in Hotel Management and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment. He is a licensed real estate agent (QLD) and the Principal Licensee for Find My Retirement Home.
